Company History

Graham Ardley and Glenn Foreman formed A.F. Commercials in 1984.  The company started life as a small operation maintaining vehicles for a number of companies.

The company operated at a site in Albert Road, Hythe for eighteen years, from 1984 to 2002.  During this time Graham and Glenn were able to build the customer base to include Eurotunnel and various other large and small, local companies, as well as a number of private customers.  As customer demand grew facilities were continuously improved and updated.  The size of the company has grown steadily as turnover increased; the company now employs four people.

In September 2002 having obtained planning permission for housing development for the Albert Road site, it was sold.  The company was able to purchase modern premises at Park Farm Close of 5,000 square feet, plus extensive parking facilities.  Since moving to the workshop, an office block, storage facilities and a staff room have been constructed, and modern technology installed.
